Office snacks that really keep you full
Reaching into the biscuit tin happens in a flash. Better alternatives that fit in any desk drawer.
Why snacks can make sense
If there are long gaps between your meals, you often arrive at the table starving. A planned snack can prevent that.
Snacks with substance
- Yoghurt or skyr with a few berries
- A handful of nuts with a piece of fruit
- Vegetable sticks with hummus
- A hard-boiled egg or a piece of cheese
- Wholegrain crackers with cream cheese
The biscuit tin
You don't have to avoid it. But if the alternative is ready and waiting, the decision is easier. And if it does end up being a biscuit: enjoy it mindfully rather than eating it on autopilot.
Plan instead of improvising
Pack a snack the evening before. Or keep things that last, like nuts and crackers, at the office.
My tip
Notice when you most crave snacks at the office. That's exactly the moment when a good alternative pays off.
