Small habits, big impact

Why lasting change starts small, and how to build a new habit so that it sticks.

Motivation isn't enough

Motivation is high at the start and then fades. What remains are habits. That's why it pays to start small.

The power of small steps

A change that takes hardly any effort can be put into practice even on stressful days. That's exactly why it lasts.

How to build a habit

  1. Start small: a handful of vegetables, not a whole new meal plan.
  2. Link it to something: a glass of water after your coffee, always a salad with lunch.
  3. Make it visible: fruit on the table, water bottle next to your laptop.
  4. Repeat: not perfectly, but regularly.

One step at a time

Once one habit is in place, the next one follows. That's exactly how we work in coaching: on a weekly rhythm, with concrete steps rather than big upheavals.

My tip

Choose a single habit today that you want to stick to for two weeks. Write it down and tick it off every day.
